BY LAWS
1.DUTIES OF THE EXECUTIVE
(a)PRESIDENT
Shall preside over all meetings and be a member of all committees and appoint all chairpersons of special committees. He/she shall also be the spokesperson for the Club and carry out all duties appointed by the Board of Directors. He/she will also prepare a report for the AGM.
(b)VICE PRESIDENT
Shall act in the absence of the President and preside over meetings the President cannot attend. He/she shall have all other powers and duties deemed by the Board of Directors.
(c)SECRETARY
Shall record the minutes from all meetings including discipline hearings. He/she will notify all members of upcoming meetings and elections. Submit the minutes of the AGM to the NSA along with the revised Constitution.
(d)TREASURER
Will keep accurate records of all Club finances and prepare a report for the AGM.
(e)DIRECTOR OF VETERANS SOCCER
Responsible for accurately representing the majority of veteran players at meetings.
(f)DIRECTOR OF MENS OPEN AGE
Responsible for accurately representing the majority of open age players at meetings.
(g)DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHIPS AND ACQUISITIONS
Responsible for recruiting sponsors for the Club and any other acquisitions the Club may need.
(h)DIRECTOR OF MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
Responsible to create and maintain all aspects of the Club web site and any other form of communication with the public and/or other Clubs.
2.DIRECTORS SELECTION AND APPOINMENT
All elected board positions shall be decided upon by nomination and majority vote at the AGM as per the constitution. This includes President, Vice President, Secretary, Director of Veterans, Director of Mens Open Age.
Coaching, assistant coaching and administrator (manager) or any other volunteer duties shall be by application review process and appointment of the board by majority vote.
3.DIRECTORS REVOKING APPOINTMENT
If a Director is found guilty of an offense listed in the constitution, "removal of director", evidence will be presented and heard at a discipline hearing and a 2/3 vote will be required to remove the director.
4.DISCIPLINE
a)The league in which the team plays will regulate game discipline.
b)The coaches will keep record of all cards during the season, Cup and play offs. These cards shall be reported to the executive board. When a player is due to report to the NSA for a hearing the executive shall notify the player by e mail. The player will be required to attend the scheduled hearing. In the case where the player cannot attend. He must notify the coach or executive immediately so alternative arrangements can be made and someone can attend in the players place. The player must write a note to allow the coach or executive member to attend the meeting in their place.
c)The player and coach must adhere to the discipline handed out by the NSA. Any coach or player found guilty of not following the suspension may be required to surrender their player registration book, attend another hearing and additional discipline.
d)For any charges relating solely to the Club a discipline committee shall be formed of not less than 5 members to determine the course of action.
5.CHARGES FOR DISCIPLINE
All players and coaches a responsible for monies owed to the NSA,OSA or CSA for fines. IF the fines are not paid the player or coach shall surrender the player registration book to the NSA until such a time the players fines are paid and in good standing with the NSA.
Coaches and coaching staff will be held responsible for the conduct of their players. If there comes a time when a player or member of the coaching staff is deemed uncontrollable a discipline hearing shall be called to determine the fate of the individual.
6.VOTING
Each member is entitled to one vote as per the constitution.
Vote by proxy will be permitted for amendments to by-laws at an Annual General Meeting but are required in writing and must be presented at the meeting by a person appointed by the Member.
7.PLAYER REGISTRATION
Players will only be registered to the team at the NSA office by the appointed Executive Member.
The first 11 players must be registered by the NSA deadline as per the NSA AGM. The remaining players shall be registered by the start of the season or by the specific registration rules set out by the league in which they are registered to play.
8.CREST AND COLOURS
The Club crest is attached to the by laws. The crest may be altered only by 2/3's vote at the AGM.
The Club colours for uniforms may be determined by the Executive and membership each year by majority vote.
